Rara is the lake on the fifty-rupee note — three kilometres of blue water at 2,990 m, ringed by pine and snow peaks, in Nepal's least-visited national park. Fly west via Nepalgunj to Jumla and walk in over three easy days. Includes both flight legs, guide, lodging and park fees.
